Listing Description:

I am a recent bride with a 15 year old daughter. I have lived as a single parent for the last 14 years and am hoping to get my new life in order. I am involved in my community through volunteer work and church work (my parents are ministers). I am a young professional who has run for city council and involved on a state and national level with education issues affecting my child and and low income children in our community. I even took my voice to the Whitehouse!  I have been an advocate for families across the country. I have listed a couple of times unsuccesfully, but not given up! I actually needed to borrow money to add to what I had saved to purchase some reliable transportation. Good news!! I was able to get the money needed without a loan and thanks to a good friend at the car lot.

I would however, like to pursue a loan once more through Prosper to assist in my
credit rebuilding efforts. This loan will be used to begin paying off my bad debts. I have been offered settlements by several creditors which will be a big help in getting on the right track and getting a fresh start. I can then tackle the largest bill which is my student loan. My husbands mother passed away before our marriage and the family house was sold and proceeds split between 4 other siblings. Before any of them received monies, the attorneys paid off individual outstanding debts and what was left was disbursed to each sibling. He was able to clear up some bad debts and his credit is better.... I have to try and get myself together now. We are planning on buying a home when our lease is up in July 07 and having my credit rating up would sure help in jumpstarting our future as first time homebuyers.
My expenses are as follows:

Net wages monthly - $1800 (always get overtime)
Rent $450 (husband pays)
Utilities $370(elec. water, gas, cable) --I pay
Phone $45.00 (home)-- I pay
Cell: company provided
Car insurance $85-- I pay
tithes to church $180--I pay
medical expenses $80 towards daughters ER bill (before current coverage)--I pay
which leaves me with $1040 towards groceries, daughters school lunch/activities, savings etc.

The deliquencies on my prior accounts was due to poor judgement on my part and total irresponsibility in the past. I have also made some bad decisions trying to help others. Now that I am married and my daughter is getting older (as well as myself) I desire better things in life. A happy home and family is priceless! I am able to begin this journey now and am hoping Prosper can help me out of this black hole.

I have been on the same job with a non-profit for 2 years and have lived and raised my daughter in the same house for 13 years which shows my stability.  I was recently promoted to Director of my department at work and have begun to establish myself for long term on my job. I am definitely a go-getter and have proven my hard work ethic as I have been steadily employed since graduating in 1995. In working with clients on a daily basis, I am constantly encouraging others during their times of need. Most times providing services and resources to help them with life skills and getting financial issues corrected. Through helping others, I am also learning. This will also be an awesome opportunity to show my worthiness and teach my daughter the importance of having good credit. Who knows? I can get back on track and be a lender soon. I lowered the amount as a start for me and WILL be able to pay back before the 3 year term. Thanks for your consideration of my loan and you won't be disappo
