My previous loan drew very little interest, so I've reduced the amount I'm requesting and bumped up my interest rate. Although a higher interest rate is never fun, this loan is an important step for our future.

As I mentioned previously, I've just separated from my husband of 10 years. I've always been a hard working mother, working two jobs when necessary or nights to be home with the children when they were little. I've now established myself in the medical billing profession and gain more respect every day for the diligent, positive professional I am. Entering the profession at entry level and now filling a supervisory roll, I am secure in my position and aware that I am a valued employee.

I am requesting this loan to pay off some of my current debt and family loans. With the divorce, came the need for housing – first, last and security. Although my family was there to help with some money and furniture, I'd like to be able to stand on my own two feet and get their money back to them. I'd like to pay off my credit cards so I'm not using them for monthly expenses. I'm trying to pay them off each month, but if you get a bit behind one month, it just continues to snowball. This loan is more for preventative maintenance: I don't want to develop bad habits because of the unexpected expenses I've had lately.
