Listing Description:

Hi - Thank you for looking at my listing.

Explanation of Circumstances: I damaged my credit while in college trying to fund my way through school. I did not have a job that was stable enough to support my expenses. My credit was damaged through the use of payday loans and a car loan that went sour. I finally got a job teaching in 1998 but it only paid $996 per month because it was a part-time job. I had no place to live at the time so much of my money was spent on hotels. My student loans were due and I could barely afford to pay them back. I was delinquent on them and it did hurt my credit. I had no transportation at the time so I got a vehicle and did the best I could to make payments on time. I eventually lost it. I filed bankruptcy and that hurt my score as well. I now have a stable and secure job in the field of teaching. I have been teaching now for 8½ years. I am well capable of repaying any loan that I will receive from prosper.

Purpose of Loan: I need this money to pay off delinquent debts that I owe that are appearing on my credit report. My scores at the credit bureaus are as follows: 578(Experian), 633(Equifax), and 600(Transunion). I recently applied for a mortgage loan and learned of my scores. They are too low to get a good interest rate.

I am seeking a loan to pay off these old debts:

Aspire CB&T: $1073.00
Chase Bank(Auto) $4407.00
FNB $173.00
Paragon Way(payday loan) $638.00
Paragon Way(payday loan) $626.00
Total amount of debt to be paid = $6917

These debts are listed on my credit reports. Every time the debt is sold a new collection is entered on my credit report and it is damaging to my credit report and score. I have two accounts that have been posted to my credit twice. I am currently in the process of entering an agreement to pay off the debt by way of rapid re-scoring. The creditors have agreed that if I pay off my debt then they would have it taken off of my credit report. I have already been successful in getting two of the old accounts deleted. I want to restore my credit rating and my good name. If you want to know further about my damaged credit, please feel free to contact me and I will explain it to you.

Occupation: I am a full-time 9th and 10th grade English Teacher.
Length of Employment: 8 ½ years
Present Budget Income: ($3033.00) Net Monthly

Budget After Prosper Loan is in place:
Loan Payments: $0
Mortgage/Rent: $660
Utilities/Gas:$95
Car Note: $0
Insurance: $89
Credit Card 1: $0
Credit Card 2: $0
School Loan: $354.00
Food: $250
Household/Misc: $200
Total........$1648.00
Leftover Income: $1385.00

As you can see, I have over $1300 left over and can now easily afford to make my payments to prosper and add to my savings. I promise that my payments to Prosper will be my top priority. I appreciate your viewing my listing and bidding on my loan.
