This blog started in January 2007 with a focus on news about Prosper groups. Soon it developed to an information ressource with broader coverage on p2p lending, social lending and peer to peer microfinance.

If you have information about a startup in that area please contact me. Guest authors that cover special aspects (like a specific market) are most welcome.

1. What advantages does publishing my news at wiseclerk give me?
You don't need to worry about webhosting and technology. You can concentrate at getting your information across to the lenders and borrowers.

2. What can I write about?
Anything you like. But please choose topics that have some relationship to borrowing, lending or prosper. Wiseclerk reserves the right to remove articles without giving any reasons.

3. How do I get started?
If you are a groupleader at prosper, please send an email to contact and mention your screenname, your group name and your contact email. I will setup an account for you and email you a password.

4. How do I publish my first article?
Log in and goto the 'write' section in the upper menue. Type your article into the editor, select your group's name from the categories on the right and think up some keywords. Push the 'Publish' button once you are finished. Your post will then by published.

5. What are keywords and which ones should I choose?
Keywords (or tags) are used to make it easier for readers to find your article. You should use keywords that sum up the main topic your article is about. The keywords will by visible below your article.

6. I already maintain a web page for my group. Why should I publish an article at wiseclerk's group news?
You profit from the large number of borrowers and lenders using the stats wiseclerk.com offers. By publishing articles you can get their attention. Naturally you can provide a link (in your article) to your own group webpage.

Readers

1. Are articles screened by wiseclerk.com?
No, the individual author (groupleader) is responsible for the content of his article. Only articles by 'admin' or 'wiseclerk' are written by wiseclerk.

2. How do I find articles about a specific topic
Try typing the topic in the search box on the upper right and hit the 'search' button.

3. Can I comment an article?
Your feedback is most welcome. You are welcome to give feedback on any article.
